Kim Reynolds has become the first Governor in the country to sign the Education Freedom Pledge.

The pledge, which can be found below, launched less than 24 hours ago at EdFreedomPledge.com. Already, more than one hundred lawmakers across the nation have signed the pledge, as well as hundreds of voters.

Statement from Tommy Schultz, Chief Executive Officer of the American Federation for Children:

“Governor Reynolds has proven once again that she is one of the boldest leaders on school choice and parental empowerment in America. Across the country, lawmakers have decided to stand up and put parents and students first when it comes to education and voters are taking notice. School choice gives parents the power to help their children unlock their full potential and we are excited to see lawmakers fighting to expand opportunity in education.”

The Education Freedom Pledge:

“I pledge to support policies that promote parental rights in education and educational freedom. This includes the right of parents to voice their opinions at school board meetings and to take their children’s taxpayer-funded education dollars to the education providers of their choosing – whether it be a public, private, charter, or home school.”
