Hey, earned media is earned media. And Goya Foods earned it with this one.

CEO Robert Unanue tabbed Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez his company’s “employee of the month” on a Monday podcast. Unanue told “The Michael Berry Show” that they never were able to hand her the award, but she earned it by bringing attention to Goya.

“When she boycotted us, our sales actually increased 1,000 percent, Unanue said. “Our Adobo sales did very well after she said ‘make your own Adobo.'”

AOC’s response was that sales surged because millions of people rushed out to buy canned goods due to COVID.

Unanue visited with President Donald J. Trump in the summer and said at a press conference we’re all “truly blessed” to have a leader like President Trump.

That comment sparked outrage from the tolerant Left.

AOC reacted with, “oh look, it’s the sound of me Googling ‘how to make your own Adobo.'”

Congrats to Goya.

If AOC really is the future of the Democrat Party, it may be time to grow concerned.
