One week after Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) released the FD-1023 document alleging the Biden family’s involvement in a criminal foreign bribery scheme, Grassley joined America’s Newsroom to discuss his federal oversight efforts. He doubled down on the need for Congress to ensure the FBI is doing its job to investigate the evidence and show its work to the American people.
When asked what people should glean from the FD-1023, Grassley said, “The major headline is this: When we were supposed to get that document because it’s unclassified and it was sent to the House Oversight Committee for just those people to read, [the FBI] redacted the parts about telephone conversations with Hunter Biden and the Ukrainian national, and Vice President Biden and the Ukrainian national. Why was that blocked out? […] I think that shows political bias, the FBI protecting the Biden family.”
