On Friday, NRSC Chairman Rick Scott, Judiciary Committee Ranking Member Chuck Grassley, RNC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel, NRCC Chairman Tom Emmer, and Republican Senators sent a letter to Google demanding that they fix their unfair censoring of Republican fundraising emails. Over three months ago, a study by North Carolina State University found that Google’s algorithms favor Democrat campaigns and actively prevent Republican campaigns from reaching voters.

Since this study was published, Google has not done enough to fix the problem. They’ve failed to be open and transparent about their efforts to create an even playing field between Republican and Democrat email fundraising.

Republicans have one simple request: equal treatment between Republicans and Democrats. Voters sign up for campaign emails so they can stay informed and exercise their first amendment right to donate money to political campaigns. Google’s shameful censoring of Republican emails is undemocratic and needs to stop immediately.
