United States Sen. Chuck Grassley was asked for his thoughts about the latest aid package President Joe Biden wants moved through to help Ukraine. In his answer, Grassley said he believes America’s interest in the border of the United States and Mexico should be “equal” to the border between Ukraine and Russia.

“The figure of $33 billion sounds like a lot of money, but we’ve appropriated $14 billion about two months ago and that is being expended rapidly,” Grassley said. “And I think that the only resentment people have towards our having money to help buy war material and humanitarian experiences for Ukraine is the fact that this President isn’t as concerned about the border with Mexico as he is the border between Ukraine and Russia. Now, I think we ought to have equal interest in both.”

Grassley then criticized the Biden Administration’s lax immigration policies. Grassley, however, was dinged on his voting record by Conservative Review for surrendering on the border wall and empowering drug cartels and human traffickers on Feb. 14, 2019. He also took a hit to his record for voting to pass a $19 billion spending bill on May 23, 2019 without funding for the border crisis.

  1. These DC pols who voted for this must be getting paid somehow. Ukraine is one big money laundering operation, and we taxpayers are the ones buying the champagne for the defense contractors and the DC pols. All this money is doing is prolonging the death and destruction. They are risking nuclear war for a corrupt country chock full of real nazis – not the ones Democrats look for under their beds each night.
