Reports from local media in Detroit say 18-year-old Cartier Woods is in need of prayer following his collapse on the basketball court during a high school game.

According to school officials, Woods suffered cardiac arrest during the basketball game. He received CPR and was rushed to the hospital by paramedics. He was placed on life support.

According to his aunt and guardian, Woods has been playing since he was 10 years old. The family said he was in good health and very active.

“They just don’t understand how something like this could happen to someone so young,” the story said.

Shantell Woods, his cousin, told local media he was “very healthy.”
