According to Young America’s Foundation, an Iowa State professor is threatening to dismiss students if they voice opposition to killing unborn babies (abortion) or Black Lives Matter from her upcoming class this fall.
In the course syllabus, which was included in the YAF article, there is a “GIANT WARNING.”
“Any instances of othering that you participate in intentionally (racism, sexism, ableism, homophobia, sorophobia, transphobia, classism, mocking of mental health issues, body shaming, etc.) in class are grounds for dismissal from the classroom. The same goes for any papers/projects: you cannot choose any topic that takes at its base that one side doesn’t deserve the same basic human rights as you do (i.e. no arguments against gay marriage, abortion, Black Lives Matter, etc.). I take this seriously.”
Speaking of mental health issues…
Clark teaches in the English department at ISU. She was paid $45,500.55 in Fiscal Year 2019. In 2018, she received $42,400.

Earlier this year The Iowa Standard reported about an ISU professor who says the Iowa GOP is ‘corrupt,’ and retweeted that black people have been suffering state-sanctioned violence in America for over 400 years.
There was also this from an ISU professor — if he wrote a book about the Trump presidency, he would title it “Diarrhea: A History of the Republican Party under Trump.”
Clearly there’s an institutional problem at ISU.
