Yesterday we told you about an Iowa State professor who would title a book about the Trump presidency “Diarrhea: A History of the Republican Party under Trump.”

Today we’re going to balance it out by highlighting a University of Iowa professor.

Rima Afifi is Professor and Interim Head, Director of Graduate Studies, Department of Community and Behavioral Health.

She’s been all over the COVID-19 pandemic and the role racism has played in historical injustices and residential segregation, which is being unmasked by COVID.

She’s also listing the political determinants of health:

But, through it all, she’s praying that Americans will change how they view socialism after the pandemic is over.

And, according to Afifi, the difference between life and death is literally staying at home.

A silent victim of the pandemic? Women’s independence.

Afifi is no fan of President Donald Trump, either.

“There are names for this kind of talk — racist, oppressive, colonialist, violent, inhumane, evil.”

But don’t confuse her concern with “women’s independence” to include ALL women.
