Congresswoman Ashley Hinson (R-IA) today addressed Iowa’s First District Democratic Committee at their virtual meeting and released the following statement.
“I appreciated the invitation and opportunity to address Iowa’s First District Democratic Committee today and provide an update about my work as their Congresswoman so far. I represent everyone in Iowa’s First Congressional District, not just those who supported me, and it is important for me to be accessible to all of my constituents. Too often we don’t engage with people we disagree with on politics or policy, and I think that is a major reason why our civil discourse has become so heated and divisive. While we may have significant differences of opinion on many issues, there is a lot we can unite on as Iowans and Americans.”
