Congresswoman Ashley Hinson (IA-01) introduced legislation that would require the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to release data on the border crisis that the agency has failed to produce, like the number of criminals arrested by ICE and deportation rates. U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has routinely released a report at the end of the year detailing information about ICE activity during the previous fiscal year. The Administration claimed this information would be released in January. Congressmen Chuck Fleischmann (TN-03), John Rutherford (FL-04), and Steven Palazzo (MS-04) joined Hinson in this effort.

“While the Biden Administration is turning a blind eye to the crisis at the border, Americans want accountability, answers, and an action plan to secure the border. It is unacceptable that the Administration continues to hide information from the American people about the impact their policies are having on immigration enforcement and border security.” –Congresswoman Ashley Hinson
