“On Labor Day, we recognize the achievements and contributions of workers in Iowa and across the country. From linemen and carpenters, to health care providers and truck drivers, generations of Iowa workers have kept our economy running, our communities safe, and our families fed. Despite tough times — inflation, an economic recession, and high gas prices — Iowa workers continue to overcome challenges and set a nationwide example. Iowa workers brought us through the pandemic and are driving an economic recovery that is outpacing the rest of the country.
