This past month, Congresswoman Ashley Hinson was tapped by GOP Leadership to Co-Chair the NRCC’s Young Gun program. This program provides strategic and financial assistance to top Republican Congressional candidate recruits across the country. Hinson herself was named a Young Gun in the spring of 2020, and the program’s assistance was vital to her and many of her new colleagues’ victories. She will serve in this role alongside Co-Chairs Rep. Tony Gonzales (TX-23), Rep. Markwayne Mullin (OK-02), and Rep. Bryan Steil (WI-01).
“The NRCC’s Young Gun program was key to my success in 2020, and I’m honored to help lead this program for the 2022 cycle. Americans are forcefully rejecting the Democrats’ agenda—we need to build off of our momentum going into the midterms. Our Young Gun candidates will be crucial in helping Republicans take back the House next year, and I look forward to serving with them in Congress when we win back the majority.” -Congresswoman Ashley Hinson
“Ashley Hinson has made a huge impact in her short time in Congress, and I couldn’t be more excited that she will be leading the charge as a co-chair for the Young Guns program in 2022. Together, we’ll help our candidates cross the finish line to victory and win key seats so that we can take back the House in 2022.” -Leader Kevin McCarthy
