Congresswoman Ashley Hinson (R-IA) released the following statement in opposition to the American Dream and Promise Act and the Farm Workforce Modernization Act.
“(On Thursday), I opposed legislation that would grant mass amnesty for illegal immigrants. It is unfair to allow those who came here illegally to cut the line ahead of those who are following our country’s rules and pursuing the legal immigration process. Right now, the Biden Administration and Congress should be focused on fixing the growing crisis at the southern border that is a direct result of President Biden’s dangerous Executive Orders that have incentivized and increased illegal immigration.
