House File 2006 would allow a county commissioner of elections to begin mailing absentee ballots to voters who have requested ballots beginning the third business day before the 20th day before the election.

Current law provides the commissioner shall mail an absentee ballot not more than 20 days before the election.

Republican Rep. Dennis Bush sponsored the bill.
