The United States House of Representatives passed a stopgap funding bill that includes $5 billion for President Donald Trump’s desired border wall.

President Trump has made it clear he would not sign a spending bill without funding for the border wall included.

The bill will move to the United States Senate, where it is not expected to receive the necessary 60 votes as an appropriations bill to advance to a final vote.

Congressman Steve King (R-Iowa Fourth District) tweeted he would “be the last to blink” in the battle for border wall funding.
