There were roughly 24,000 new diagnoses of gender dysphoria for kids aged 6-17 in 2020. However, last year, that number increased to more than 42,000 cases.

The huge increase took place in the midst of an aggressive push from LGBTQ activists who push the transgender agenda on kids.

According to a report from Reuters, which cites the National Institutes of Health, 17,683 children have started on puberty blockers or hormones in the last five years. Of those, 5,063 started in 2021.

Reuters speculated the number is likely a significant undercount because they do not include children whose records do not specify a gender dysphoria diagnosis or the treatment was not covered by insurance.
