Some Government leaders have come out and made statements standing against them but what does this look like in real life? What kinds of action do we encourage them to take?

Iowa currently has a system (IRIS) tracking vaccination status and anyone can access it. All you need to view this information is the individuals birthdate, ssn, and full name. TRUE.

Iowa schools are referencing this system and granting privileges to individuals based on their vaccination status. TRUE.
(ICCSD School Board Loosens Quarantine Requirements)

This legislative session an attempt was made by Iowa legislators to pass law REQUIRING medical providers record vaccination status into this state-run registry (without patient’s knowledge, without consent, and without an opt out option). TRUE.

While this, in and of itself, is not entirely all that bad, Iowans still deserve to have a choice.

The topic now is around “vaccine passports” but really we must quickly identify and stand in opposition to anything constructing a system where the government can monopolize data, reference and/or subsequently act upon that information resulting in discrimination and segregation of citizens.

It’s important to look past the semantics because they don’t have to call it a “vaccine passport”. We must set aside politicized terms and seriously look at the actions and direction government leaders and our society is headed both nationally and locally.

Call To Action
Email Your Legislators + Express Your Concerns

Tell them if they really oppose vaccine passports then you demand they also oppose the systems that facilitate the creation of the system making it possible for Iowans to be tracked and monitored based on vaccination status.

Demand they oppose:

– required IRIS reporting with no opt out option

– personal health information available to the public
