A new national phone and online survey from Rasmussen Reports shows 60 percent of American adults consider “Drag Queen Story Hour” not appropriate for kids. That includes 44 percent who said it is “not at all appropriate.”

Just 29 percent said “Drag Queen Story Hour” is appropriate for children, including 11 percent who consider it very appropriate.

Drag Story Hour NYC had received more than $200,000 from New York taxpayers since 2018 according to a story from earlier this year. Just 14 percent said taxpayer money should be spent on “Drag Queen Story Hour.” Seventy-one percent said it should not receive taxpayer funding.

Forty-seven percent of Democrats consider “Drag Queen Story Hour” at least somewhat appropriate for children. Just 17 percent of Republicans and 22 percent of unaffiliated voters agree. Eighty-nine percent of Republicans, 71 percent of unaffiliated voters and 56 percent of Democrats oppose taxpayer funding of “Drag Queen Story Hour.”
