Iowa Dems executive director blames Gov. Reynolds for son not being allowed to attend ‘football watch party’

Erin Davison-Rippey, the Iowa Democrat Party’s executive director and former Planned Parenthood state executive director, is not allowing her son to attend a football watch party this weekend.

And it is the fault of Iowa Gov. Kim Reynolds.

“So, Kim Reynolds, how about you come explain *in person* to my crying kid why he has to miss his football watch party with his best friend this weekend…why we’re nervous about him hugging his grandparents…why he has to get yet another swab up the nose all because you won’t allow his school to follow science and CDC prevention measures,” Davison-Rippey wrote. “A school with nowhere near the classroom space to distance kids. Are you here to hold my kid as he sobs out of fear and sadness??”

She wasn’t done.

“Are you here to help us navigate work and childcare for kids too young to vaccinate if, God forbid, we get a positive test?? No, no you’re not. You’re too busy trying to score political points while the lies you peddle result in death for the most unlucky among us.

“I will never forget these experiences and these needlessly tragic times. And I will do everything I possibly can to make sure you are held accountable for the pain and suffering you have caused far too many Iowans. Your ‘leadership’ is unconscionable. It didn’t have to be like this.”

The Iowa Standard finds it hard to believe that Davison-Rippey is counting on Gov. Reynolds to essentially co-parent with her.

The reality is this is a very sad situation that has absolutely nothing to do with Gov. Reynolds.

It really speaks for itself, so I won’t add much, except that hearing someone who worked for Planned Parenthood for more than eight years imploring someone else to “trust the science” is rich.
