A number of Iowans are facing vaccine mandates by their employers. A new state law, however, requires employers to accept and approve medical and religious exemptions.

The Iowa Great Lakes Patriots group is hosting a “Religious Exemption Workshop” event for anyone under an employer vaccine mandate.

While the group will help provide sample text, themes and ideas, it said individuals must write their exemption using their own words.

The meeting will be held Tuesday, Nov. 16 at 6:30 p.m. at the American Legion in Milford.

Anyone with a mandate is asked to bring their forms. Individuals can also attend for a family member as there will be information available to take home.
