Democrat State Sen. Sarah Trone Garriott shared brief thoughts on the Kyle Rittenhouse verdict on Friday.

“What he did was wrong,” she said. “The verdict does not change that fact.”

Rittenhouse went to Kenosha in the midst of dangerous and violent riots to help protect and defend businesses in the city. While in Kenosha, he encountered a life-threatening situation in which he used deadly force against three individuals.

On Friday, a jury of his peers announced Rittenhouse had been found not guilty on all charges.
