Iowa Senate Democrats sent out a fundraising email on Saturday claiming that Iowa Gov. Kim Reynolds wants to “ban all abortion” in Iowa.

That doesn’t appear to be accurate, as Reynolds has simply spoken in support of the Heartbeat Bill, which allows abortion in the first six weeks of a pregnancy.

Regardless, it is this claim by Iowa Senate Democrats that seems strange:

“We must tell Reynolds and her allies that her anti-family and anti-freedom extremism has no place in our state.”

If we’re being honest, we all recognize abortion is the intentional ending of a human being’s life.

To call efforts to stop the legalized intentional ending of a human being’s life “anti-family” is pretty — well — nuts.

What is more “anti-family” than the intentional ending of an unborn child’s life?

It is literally eliminating the next member of one’s family.

It’s hard to imagine a more “anti-family” decision than having one of your family members killed.
