On Friday, Republican candidate for Iowa Governor Brad Sherman published an endorsement from Iowa State Senator Sandy Salmon, of Janesville.
Salmon’s endorsement reads: “I first ‘met’ Brad Sherman through his Libations for Liberty column and his booklet The Freedom Quiz. I was impressed with his great understanding of the constitutional values and principles our nation was founded on. When he was elected as State Representative and I had a chance to work with him I found out he was the real deal!
Brad is solid, steady, and true to the core of his convictions, biblically and constitutionally. He and his wife Carolehave devoted themselves to over four decades of pastoral and church ministry in Iowa. He was a co-founder of Informed Choices Medical Clinics, a pregnancy resource center, in Iowa City, where he served as president and board chair for ten years. Brad has authored articles and books on biblical topics and conducted biblical worldview seminars across the Midwest, emphasizing America’s founding principles.
Beyond his ministry work, Brad has professional experience in heavy equipment operation and mechanics, commercial and residential construction, real estate development, and nonprofit leadership.
During his time in the state legislature, Brad led on the issues of pro-life, pro-family, marriage, religious liberty, gender identity issues, reform of American history and government teaching standards, protection of kids from pornography, human trafficking, medical freedom, welfare reform, 2nd Amendment issues, reform of government powers in a disaster emergency, and mental health.
