Representative Mariannette Miller-Meeks, never known to be a voice for grassroots conservatives in the state of Iowa, embarrassed the state during Wednesday’s vote for Speaker of the House. When her name was called, she let out whatever this is:

As of Wednesday evening, Kevin McCarthy continued to lack the support needed to become Speaker of the House. McCarthy has failed to gain the trust and support of 20 Republicans who are refusing to budge.

Iowa’s delegation, though — Representatives Randy Feenstra, Zach Nunn, Ashley Hinson and Miller-Meeks — have been steadfast in their support of the GOP establishment.

Congress will reconvene at 7 p.m. as it continues to seek a solution for Speaker.
