There were some kids who wanted to read a book that contained a few scenes that were sexually explicit and inappropriate for their age, but their parents wouldn’t let them read it.
All of them thought it was very unfair to judge an entire book by a small part.
It just happened that the next night, Dad surprised them by baking a tray of gooey fudge brownies. Right before the kids started eating them, the dad said, “Before the brownies are eaten, I need you to know that I took a little bit of our dog’s poop and put it in the brownie mix. But there’s no need to worry, it’s just a little. The rest is fine, and you’ll barely notice.
Funny thing was that the kids didn’t touch the brownies; in fact, they said all the brownies should go in the trash!
To which the Dad responded:
“I don’t understand, it’s just a little bit of poop, the smallest part. It’s probably not even in the bite you’ll take. Surely, it doesn’t ruin it all, right?! “
After the Dad explained in detail how that little poop ruined the whole tray and turned it into trash, he said:
“And that’s why we don’t expose you children to inappropriate content – even a little bit – because it ruins everything.” They finally got it.
It is our right & responsibility to care and protect the childhood and innocence of our children. Parents are the 1st line of defense against the world’s immorality that is working to continuously assault our youngest generations.
Thanks go out to the numerous parents who are raising their voices against harmful materials in schools and libraries. Please keep these families and our school teachers/administrators in your prayers for God’s wisdom and discernment.
