According to the White House Pool Report from First Lady Jill Biden’s appearance at an Equality PAC fundraiser, Biden helped the PAC raise a total of $217,000 from the event. The Equality PAC raised more than $10.8 million this election cycle.

“Progress isn’t a line,” Biden said. “It sometimes feels like an ocean, pushing forward and pulling back. But with time and persistence, the shore of injustice does wear away.”

Biden referred to the Dobbs decision, noting that “right now, we’re fighting the battles we thought we already won.”

She celebrated the executive order President Joe Biden signed against so-called anti-LGBTQ discrimination, ending the transgender military ban and appointing LGBTQ federal officials.

“I was so proud he stood against the practice of dangerous and discredited conversion therapy,” she said.

Congressmen Mark Takano and David Cicilline are co-chairs of the PAC, which is a congressional PAC led by openly homosexual members of the United States House.

Takano told those in attendance that “we need a trans member of Congress.”

“We are going to keep our majority and I dare say we’re going to expand it,” Takano said.
