We live in a divided nation.

Those of us who love America and our country’s exceptional qualities are pitted against those who want a socialist, top-down government and aggressively secular culture.

Congress is split between a Democrat-run Senate 51-49 and a House run by Republicans who hold a nine-seat majority (222-213).

This is still better than having all three elected branches in the hands of the Left, who have wreaked enormous social, economic and moral havoc over the past two years.

It would have been far worse if we did not have so many stellar Trump-appointed judges who are upholding the Constitution.

The Republican leadership in the House can and must stop the Biden Administration’s unconstitutional abuse of executive powers. They must use their power of the purse to jam Congress’s profligate spending.

Republican-run House committees must investigate and subpoena those involved in the false Russian collusion narrative, the Big Tech/government censorship of the explosive revelations in Hunter Biden’s laptop, the lies behind the COVID-19 lockdowns and vaccine mandates, and the weaponizing of America’s intelligence agencies against conservatives.

The House must also stop the ongoing “wokeness” inflicted on our men and women in the armed forces, including the indefensible mandate for COVID-19 shots.

As we look ahead to the New Year, we need to be wise and learn from what worked to strengthen faith, family, and freedom and what did not.

America is still the world’s greatest country and the best hope on earth for mankind. We are still the envy of the world for our liberty, prosperity, and the rights guaranteed under our matchless Constitution. Even with all of our problems, we must never forget how much is still going right in America, where neighbors look out for each other and millions go to church every Sunday.

As for what’s wrong in our country, we need to ask God for forgiveness for letting so much evil go unchallenged for so long. Then we must ask for His help in restoring America.

“If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.” (2 Chron. 7:14)

  1. Please call me. I need a voice to help with the governmental protocols. Iowans need to know the truth. I have loved it first hand and people would never understand the horrors that have happened behind the closed doors of hospitals.
