House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan is demanding accountability after new revelations that Arlington County prosecutor, Parisa Dehghani-Tafti, allegedly obstructed an investigation into threats made against White House Deputy Chief of Staff for Policy Stephen Miller and his family.

Jordan sent a letter calling out what he describes as blatant political bias and a refusal to protect an American family targeted for their conservative beliefs.

The controversy began on Sept. 11, 2025, when left-wing activist Barbara Wien plastered Arlington neighborhoods with flyers displaying Stephen Miller’s face and publishing his home address. FBI investigators determined Wien likely violated both state and federal anti-doxing laws — an offense that can escalate into violent targeting, as conservatives across the country have experienced in recent years.

Wien didn’t just post the flyers — she reportedly walked past the Miller home and attempted to intimidate Miller’s wife, staring her down while signaling she was watching their family.

Despite the FBI’s findings, U.S. Magistrate Judge Lindsey Vaala — an Obama/Biden donor — blocked attempts to secure a search warrant for Wien’s phone. The FBI then turned to state authorities, who obtained a warrant from a Virginia judge. But even when investigators found that Wien had misled them, Judge Vaala denied the FBI’s renewed warrant request.

Instead of supporting law enforcement’s efforts to investigate potential political intimidation, Dehghani-Tafti made what investigators described as an “unusual request” — she sided with the defense to restrict what information state police could share with the FBI. The judge complied.

According to investigators, her actions have repeatedly “stymied the investigation.”

Dehghani-Tafti reportedly supports a far-left activist group called Arlington Neighbors United for Humanity (ANUFH) — the same group Wien is involved in. The flyers doxxing the Millers linked directly to ANUFH’s Instagram page, and the group has previously celebrated Antifa and left threatening chalk messages outside the Miller home.

Chairman Jordan’s letter warns that Dehghani-Tafti’s conduct is not an isolated lapse but part of a broader trend of ideologically driven prosecutors weaponizing or withholding the law depending on political affiliation.

“Your unmistakably partisan actions suggest that you are willing to not only ignore threats of political violence against those with whom you disagree, but will actively side with those making the threats,” Jordan wrote.

Jordan also noted the broader climate of escalating left-wing political violence — especially in Virginia, where the attorney general was recently exposed for fantasizing about murdering the children of his political opponents.

“The Miller family deserves the same protections afforded to all Americans,” Jordan emphasized, pointing out that every family — regardless of political leanings — has the right to feel safe in their own home.

Yet in this case, the press release suggests the prosecutor is more interested in protecting activists linked to extremist groups than safeguarding the victims.

This episode forms part of the Judiciary Committee’s wider investigation into political bias within local and state prosecutorial offices. Jordan’s letter demands information, documents, and communications related to Dehghani-Tafti’s involvement in the case, including her interactions with activist groups and her reasoning for limiting cooperation with the FBI.

With political intimidation on the rise nationwide, conservatives argue that this case is a chilling reminder of what happens when prosecutors put ideology ahead of public safety.
