Just how much are taxpayers paying for a superintendent like Thomas Ahart?
Yesterday we reported about Ahart’s inappropriate costume that mocks prayer and Christianity — while holding a beer and wearing his Des Moines Public School badge. His wife, Jami, is a vulgar social media bully.
In all, Ahart receives a salary of $306,484. His retirement benefits are $84,682. His health benefits are $25,267. He receives $6,081 in “other benefits.”
That’s a total compensation of $422,514.
Those figures were provided to the Iowa Department of Education by the district.
As even a liberal political news website pointed out, the salary gap between administrators and teachers is clearly widening.
It should also be noted that, despite Jami Ahart’s total disdain for President Trump, Thomas has benefited from the economic prosperity by receiving an increase.
