Congressman Steve King and Representative Ralph Klemme invite area residents to a meet and greet at the American Bank, lower level located at 234 5th Ave. SW in Le Mars on Friday, February 21st from 3:30 to 4:30 pm. Representative Klemme will be making an announcement about the 4th District Congressional Race.

Representative Klemme served in the Iowa House from 1992 to 2004. Congressman King and Representative Klemme served together while Congressman King was an Iowa State Senator from 1996 to 2002.

Congressman King was first elected to Congress in 2002 in the old 5th Congressional District. In 2012, after redistricting, Congressman King was elected to the new 4th Congressional District and has won reelection each time. King has long chaired the Conservative Opportunity Society (COS), an organization founded by Speaker Newt Gingrich and others in 1983. COS is the leading voice for Constitutional and conservative principles in the U.S. House.

Congressman King is the founder of King Construction. A former small business owner, King resides in rural Sac County, Iowa, with his wife of 47 years, Marilyn. The Kings have three happily married sons and eight grandchildren; all the Kings live within 10 miles of each other.
