There is a group out there sending postcards to voters in the upcoming Iowa House special election in Ankeny. The postcard itself makes a case for local control.

“Your vote is important. Vote for Andrea because schools need local control and women need reproductive freedom.”

By reproductive freedom, of course, they mean abortion — which would’ve been slightly less letters to write. Murder would even be shorter, but I digress.

Let’s return back to the whole “local control” angle. It’s an interesting take when considering who wrote the postcard…

Carrie in Ohio.

So we have a person called Carrie in Ohio writing to voters in Ankeny, Iowa about the importance of local control.

I wonder where the disclaimer is on the postcard in terms of who is paying for the advocacy of a certain candidate.

Nonetheless, it is an interesting strategy…having people from other states — not even a neighboring state — hinting at the importance of local control.
