Republican gubernatorial candidate Zach Lahn completed an ambitious statewide tour on Saturday, attending all four of Iowa’s Congressional District conventions in a single day aboard his campaign plane, the Iowa First Flyer.

The four-stop tour showcased Lahn’s growing grassroots support across every corner of the state and underscored his commitment to meeting Republicans where they are. By air, Lahn was able to connect with activists and delegates in each district in just one day.

“Iowa is worth fighting for, and every part of our state matters,” said Lahn. “From our small towns to our cities, Republicans are ready for a new generation of leadership that puts Iowa families first.”

Lahn has been a licensed pilot since 2004, earning his pilot’s license in Webster City shortly after graduating from Sioux City East High School.

“I’m a third generation pilot as both of my grandfathers and my dad flew. I learned to fly here in Iowa, and I’m proud to still be flying across this state talking directly with the people who make it great,” Lahn said. “Our campaign is best positioned to defeat Rob Sand in November, and voters are feeling it.”

As governor, Lahn has pledged to make Iowa number one in education again, protect family farms, keep young families in the state, end the cancer crisis, and put Iowa workers and communities ahead of outside interests.
