All elected officials who vote in favor of legislation that creates deficit spending shall be required to pledge all of their personal assets as collateral towards the debt created by the legislation. If the debt is not paid in full within one year of initiation all of the pledged assets shall be seized and sold at auction to the highest bidder with all of the proceeds going to satisfy the debt.

As I see it this is the only way that we could potentially wipe out the federal deficit.

Of course, none of the elected elite who seem willing to spend money that we don’t have at will would support such legislation.

I left a message comparable to this on the answering machine in DC for Ernst, Grassley and King on March 25 prior to their voting in favor of the $2.2 trillion economic stimulus package.
