Subject: Urgent: Help Censure Senate Majority Leader Mike Klimesh for Punishing Conservative Senator Doug Campbell

Hello Fellow Iowa Grassroots Conservative,
I’m outraged by Iowa Senate leadership’s blatant retaliation against Senator Doug Campbell—stripping him of all committee assignments simply for daring to stand with property owners and force a vote on eminent domain reform (HF 639), just as former Rep. Steve King warned would happen. 

This isn’t just about one endorsement; it’s a calculated intimidation tactic to silence Senator Campbell and send a chilling message to the 11 other courageous senators who joined him in defending Iowans’ rights last session.

We, the grassroots, cannot let this stand. If we allow Senate Majority Leader Mike Klimesh to bully and abuse legislators who fight for us, we’ll lose our voice in Des Moines entirely. 

Klimesh, in his newfound power, has made his contempt for the Republican base crystal clear by prioritizing “loyalty” to leadership over loyalty to the people and our party platform. We must fire back with a resounding message: The grassroots will not be ignored or trampled.

I’m circulating the resolution below for County Republican Central Committees to adopt. Please consider sponsoring or supporting it (or a similar version) at your next meeting. Together, we can hold leadership accountable and protect conservative principles. 

I’m sharing this because I deeply care about our state, our rights, and holding the GOP accountable from within. We’ve worked toward the same goals in shared groups, and this is the best way I know to spread the word quickly.

    Every Iowan should sign the petition (link in the comment above) and every County Republican Committee should pass a resolution clearly censuring Leader Klimesh for his heavy handed abuse of power!
