Should one generation be allowed to impose its national debts (reckless spending) on to the next generations?
This was not the view of this nation’s Founding Fathers as they knew that the wars, economic problems and debts of one generation should be paid for by the generation that incurred them. Our Founding Fathers had undergone sufficient experience with debt to see its corrosive and debilitating effect, which tends to corrupt and divide individuals, nations, states and countries.
It was their beliefs that passing on their debts to the next generation would be forcing the children of the future to be born into bondage or involuntary servitude, They wanted the next generation to be genuinely free politically and economically from occurrences and crisis that they had neither voted for, subscribed to or mandated to do. Taxation without representation is a blatant violation of a fundamental principle of this nation and our REPUBLIC for which it stands!
National debt is the result of predatory (wasteful) spending and borrowing against the future of America and exchanges (kicks the can down the road) a present advantage of (political) instant gratification for a future obligation. This future obligation eventually will in return require not only the return of the original advance of funds, but also substantial compensation (or the consequences of such) to the lender for the usage of their money.
Washington DC Democracy Democrats and many globalist Republicans (RINO’s) have allowed this nation to be put into the position that foreign powers (many of which hate us, such as China) could claim ownership of our nation as they call in their IOU’s! America’s national debt crisis has become a danger to our national security and this nation’s economic survival! The TRILLION word is now used as if it means nothing as their wasteful spending and hazardous borrowing is reducing many in this nation out of business, into bankruptcy, object poverty and depriving many of the most basic necessities of life!
We now live under the weight of a national debt estimated at $32,000,000,000,000.00 ($32 trillion dollars) and is constantly increasing with every tick of the clock! Has any of these elected bureaucrats told you that one trillion seconds is approximately 32,000 years? Suppose that (if) Washington DC were to pay back one dollar per second, it would take approximately 32,000 years just to pay back one trillion dollars (and this doesn’t include interest)! According to the Congressional Budget Office, interest on our current national debt will be $640 billion dollars in 2023. It is estimated that if out of control spending continues on into 2033 the interest alone on our national debt could be $3.9 billion per day!
To burden the next generations of this nation (your children, your grandchildren, your future posterity) with irresponsible debt is not only callous, it is morally reprehensible (deserving of censure)! How can we live with ourselves knowing that we are eroding the standard of living of the generations of tomorrow with each dollar we allow the GREED in Washington DC to add to the national debt of today?
“We the people of Iowa” and throughout this nation (who have not lost our minds) cannot continue to stand back silently and ignore this terminal cancer that is destroying our nation!
