Iowa, please stop supporting the Climate Change Agenda and our many lawmakers who push “renewables”. We have been told that this agenda will save us money. How? How can changing all of our energy infrastructure and all of our vehicles save us money? Heavily biased lobbying groups such as the Iowa Environmental Council, the Iowa Environmental Law and Policy Center and the Sierra Club say that Iowans can “save” $1.2 Billion over 20 years by forcing MidAmerican Energy to retire all of their coal plants. They make this conclusion based on a report by climate activists, Synapse Energy Economics. This company’s report says, “replacing the coal plants with renewable resources, such as wind, solar, and battery storage, was the most cost-effective option while ensuring reliable service to customers.” That is a bold lie.

Let’s simplify. Industrial wind turbines cost about $4,000,000 each. Iowa has about 5,000 turbines. Industrial wind has cost taxpayers $20,000,000,000 for unreliable, intermittent electricity. That means we have to have other systems in place when wind does not perform. What is not figured into that cost is the excess transmission required or back up batteries. Wind turbines are said to last about 20 years. Most of our wind turbines are at least 10 years old while some coal plants are as old as 40-50 years. MidAmerican has been “re-powering” the turbines in recent years because our government gives them our money to do so. Webster County wind turbines built in 2014  were re-powered  a mere two years ago. Our government put out a report on re-powering with the conclusion “Policy support in the form of financial incentives, as well as solutions to potential regulatory and contractual hurdles, is likely to be necessary if there is value placed on the acceleration of re-powering investment.”

We pay 100% of the cost to build turbines through tax, we are taxed again to re-power them and our electric rates increase. Now utility companies would like taxpayers to pay for the excess power lines with a new tax credit. A letter written by Warren Buffett’s Berkshire Hathaway to the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission spells out this intention.

It is the same junk when we are told we must pay for CO2 pipelines to make ethanol viable. We keep being told we will save money if we spend money. It is a pyramid scheme. Stop believing these lies!!

Many Iowans, even lawmakers, profess faith in God yet when they talk of Climate Change or the need for “renewables” they show that they have no faith, no understanding of the Word of God. If you disagree, I would love to know how. The entire Climate Change Agenda is an un-Godly one. In Genesis 8:22 God Himself promises us the climate will remain. Forcing others to pay for this garbage through unlawful taxation is theft. Thou shall not steal. (Exodus 20:15) The Bible says that He will care for those who put their faith in Him. Faith is not worrying about the climate changing or worrying about how we will feed or cloth ourselves (Matthew 6:25). “Everything that does not come from faith is sin.” Romans 14:23

Republicans, you support these projects because you believe they make money, even if the money you seek is being stolen from your constituents. I remind you, “For the love of money is the root of all kinds of evil. And some people, craving money, have wandered from the true faith and pierced themselves with many sorrows.” I Timothy 6:10.

Democrats tend to be a Godless crowd but for those who still profess to have faith in God I remind you, “Do not love this world nor the things it offers you, for when you love the world, you do not have the love of the Father in you.” I John 2:15 and “They traded the truth about God for a lie. So they worshiped and served the things God created instead of the Creator himself, who is worthy of eternal praise! Amen.” Romans 1:25

This Earth will be destroyed and God will renew everything. (Revelation 21) Be warned to not have a proud, short view of life that only considers this world.

  1. Money is the root of all evil and we have plenty of RINOs ready to jump on the bandwagon of greed and taking from others for their own gain. This cannot be allowed. More and more of our “black gold” is being torn up for “private business” enterprises and we cannot let them do this or it will just continue til our farmers are put out or business.
