LETTER: Pharma should be banned from lobbying Congress, donating to campaigns

It should be straight up illegal for pharmaceutical companies to lobby Congress or donate dollars to political campaigns. Pharmaceutical companies were stopped from giving branded material to physicians officers because it was said they were influencing medical decision-making. So then explain to me what exactly is happening when they give millions of dollars to politicians who then create laws benefiting pharmaceutical companies?

I call that a sincere conflict of interest. People must speak – it needs to stop.
