I have always been most impressed with Iowa Rep. Jeff Shipley’s strong values until his endorsement of Joe Mitchell for US House District Two. When I see one politician with such colorful support of another’s campaign, I see a politician’s version of paying it forward or paying a debt. When a politician running for office cannot stand on his own record and needs the backing of another, I see two politicians who are not secure in their own environment. If the voters rely on another politician’s advice that is not from their own district, then the merits of that endorsement should be taken cautiously.
As for Mitchell’s own claims to fame by being a close friend of Charlie Kirk, or being a big MAGA guy, or being a confidant of President Trump, or a big health expert, I say show us the money. Show us the achievements, show us your following that you have gathered over the years
While neither of these politicians are in my districts and I cannot vote for or against either, I would suggest that the people in Iowa District Two contact real folks in Mitchell’s former Iowa House district to get a more accurate favorability rating on this candidate who just moved to your district to run for an open seat. You may discover that not all share the same loving views that Jeff Shipley has for Joe Mitchell. Do not be fooled by another politician who has learned the game. We need politicians who represent the people, not each other.
