Liberty Counsel issued a warning to people earlier this week about groups “working to make people who want to abuse (children) appear mainstream.”

There’s a group named “b4u act” that makes the following claims to normalize what they call “minor-attracted persons.”

*”No one chooses to be emotionally and sexually attracted to children or adolescents;”

*Attraction to children becomes “a central part of their identity;”

*Minor-attracted people are not dangerous or deviants;

*Referring to minor-attracted people as pedophiles or a risk to children stigmatizes them and is not in the best interest of children or society.

According to Liberty Counsel, the group’s main goal is to change society so these perverted desires are no longer “at odds” with society. Paul Christiano was one of the group’s spokespersons. Christiano was a registered sex offender who took his own life at 39 years old.

Prior to his death, Liberty Counsel says he stated the group encourages pedophiles to “openly acknowledge their feelings and desires” within the organization. He also pushed for “sexual autonomy of children” and that children “should not be left in the dark about their own sexuality.”

B4U-ACT also claims that pedophiles “often show a desire to protect children and make them happy.”

B4U-ACT is not a fringe group without any traction, either. According to Liberty Counsel, it is one group among many that has a big influence with college professors and professional counselors.
