Luana Stoltenberg is running for the Republican nomination in Iowa House District 81. Here is some very brief information from her. We’ll be reconnecting with her after the legislative session for a Q&A.

Name: Luana Stoltenberg

Party: Republican

Office: Iowa House District 81

Why I’m running: I decided to run for office after receiving a call from a pastor friend of mine. He was concerned that there were districts in Scott County that were not represented by a conservative voice. So I began to pray about it and felt I was being called to run.

My top three priorities would be:

1). The life issue. It is imperative that we protect life in the womb. The unborn are the most defenseless and vulnerable of all. Our Declaration of Independence says, “we are endowed by our Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness.”  If we are denied our basic Right to Life there are NO other Rights.

2). Liberty and Freedom. The second right we are guaranteed in our Declaration of Independence is Liberty. We must have freedom from mask mandates and vaccine mandates. We must be able to make health and safety decisions for ourselves.

3). Election Integrity. It is critical that “We the People” are able to trust the election process and the integrity of those in that process, or we do not have a free nation.
