An Iowa high school has seen tensions rise in the last week. Linn-Mar held a “Trans Week” and promoted the transgender agenda throughout the high school. This caused some unrest among students who haven’t embraced the movement.

Here are some photos from the high school from throughout “Trans Week.”

“Trans Week” is being sponsored by a group in the school called Spectrum.

Staff reportedly received an email from a person called Kat Power, who is a student support services teacher at the school.

The first says that members of Spectrum invite all Linn-Mar staff to wear blue, white and pink to celebrate Transgender Awareness week.

The second email asks staff to be in the halls or by “Pride Rock” to help provide “support, safety and security” between noon and 1 p.m.

“As some have probably heard, members from Spectrum and their allies have planned a walkout after second block,” the email states. “There is also another group of individuals that want to walkout as well and demonstrate negative opposition.

“I am truly saddened that Trans awareness Week has churned up a negative undercurrent of hate and opposition and a general showing of mean and cruel behavior.”

This is reportedly a picture of teachers guarding the flags.

These appear to be scenes from the walkouts.

The Iowa Standard also obtained TikTok video saying “my school is at war. It’s embarrassing.” Students were walking through the hallway with U.S. flags and other patriotic gear. The caption says “f-word (expletive actually used) linnmar.”

Another video shows a student with a Trump flag around their back walking through the hall. Captioned is “not the trump flag.”

Another student is featured carrying a Blue Line Flag, supporting law enforcement. The caption states “yikes.”

On another portion of the video, a caption wears “nah imma start bullying them” in regard of the Trump supporting students.

According to district policy (502.11), the goal of the district is to “protect the educational environment for all students to help ensure it is free from substantial disruption or infringement upon their rights.”

“Student expression should be appropriate to help ensure that students learn and meet the goals of the school activity and that the potential audience is not exposed to material that may be harmful or inappropriate for their level of maturity.”

Homemade posters are made and posted on the walls of the school informing kids of different sexualities.

“During asexuality week, there were more than 30 different genders or sexualities apparently that were posted all over the walls,” one parent said. “It’s just being shoved in their face.”

This week was trans week and students began taking the signs off the walls. Some were putting scripture up, but they were being taken down.
