On Wednesday, Live Action, one of the nation’s leading human rights organizations, released phone call recordings with Planned Parenthood employees across multiple states.
These Planned Parenthood facilities offer cross-sex hormones to minors, as young as 16 years old, with no other evaluation needed. During this undercover reporting, Planned Parenthood assured the caller that they could choose to meet with a provider virtually and have access to trans drugs as early as the same day.
Key findings from the undercover reporting include:
- Transitioning Minors: An undercover reporter posed as an underage girl, and Planned Parenthood was ready to take her money and give her dangerous drugs.
- Same-Day Hormone Access: Multiple facilities confirmed they will prescribe cross-sex hormones at the first appointment, often virtually.
- No Mental Health Assessment Needed: Facilities explicitly stated that no therapy, mental health clearance, or prior documentation is required to be given before prescribing cross-sex hormones
- Quick Appointment Turnaround: Facilities confirmed that the 16-year-old patient could schedule an appointment as early as the same day, even if she had only recently begun considering transition.
Lila Rose, founder and president of Live Action, released the following statement:
“Our undercover reporting has exposed a chilling reality: Planned Parenthood is fast-tracking vulnerable children into irreversible hormone treatments with almost no medical oversight. These dangerous drugs can sterilize, stunt growth, and leave lifelong scars. This is not healthcare. It is child abuse, and it must be stopped.
But the abuse does not end there. Planned Parenthood is also the nation’s largest abortion chain, killing nearly 400,000 preborn children every year. That is 400,000 lives violently ended, sons and daughters who will never take their first breath
And it is funded by the American people. Planned Parenthood receives more than $700 million in taxpayer dollars every year. That is a catastrophe, and it must end.”
Live Action is also releasing a comprehensive policy report on Planned Parenthood that details their lack of safeguards for minors seeking trans hormones, and includes a deep dive into their abortion business as well as their monopoly on perverse sex misinformation in public schools.
Rose continued, “Planned Parenthood’s abusive practices must end. Congress must defund Planned Parenthood now. Not one more child, born or preborn, should be harmed by Planned Parenthood. Live Action will continue its mission to educate the public about the abortion industry’s harm to children. This evening, we will also display a digital ad campaign in Times Square, exposing that Planned Parenthood not only kills over one thousand preborn babies each day, but they also give trans drugs to minors, all while being funded by our taxpayer dollars. It’s time for Congress and the President to act and defund this abusive corporation of the $700 million they receive from taxpayers every year!”
