Refusal to receive the COVID-19 injection led to 206 Marines being kicked out according to the Corps. In an announcement on Thursday, the Marines said 95 percent of active-duty jarheads have received the shot. The 206 Marines kicked out is a jump from the 169 reported earlier in the month.

The vaccination rate for Marine reservists increased to 86 percent partially vaccinated and 83 percent fully vaccinated.

Requests for religious exemptions have been submitted, but none of the 3,115 requests reviewed thus far have been approved. Active-duty Marines had until Nov. 28 to be vaccinated. Reservists had until last Tuesday.

According to reports, military branches are beginning to discharge up to 30,000 active-duty service members for refusing the shot.
