Muscatine Mayor Brad Bark today announced his endorsement of Adam Steen for Governor of Iowa, citing Steen’s record of delivering results, his commitment to conservative principles, and his focus on protecting Iowa families and freedoms.
“My wife, Candice, and I are supporting Adam Steen for Iowa Governor because he delivered real results as Director of the Iowa Department of Administrative Services under Governor Kim Reynolds, cutting waste and streamlining state government. He’s a committed Christian conservative who is pro-life, pro-family, and a strong defender of parental rights, and as a husband, father, and minister, he understands what’s at stake for Iowa families. We also appreciate his focus on growing Iowa’s economy through skilled trades and apprenticeships, creating real opportunities for both rural and urban communities across our state.”
As Director of the Iowa Department of Administrative Services, Steen focused on eliminating inefficiencies, protecting taxpayer dollars, and increasing accountability across state government by keeping government in its proper role and ensuring it worked for the people of Iowa. His leadership reflected the same priorities at the center of his campaign: defending individual freedoms, reining in government overreach, and building a leaner, more accountable state government that empowers families rather than expanding bureaucracy.
“I’m honored to have Mayor Bark’s support,” said Adam Steen. “Brad knows what it means to serve at the local level and to fight for his community. Iowa is strongest when we protect our freedoms, stand up for our families, and hold government accountable. As governor, I will work every day to keep Iowa free, to push back on overreach, defend parental rights, protect life, and make sure our state remains a place where faith, hard work, and personal responsibility are not just talked about, but lived out.”
Steen continues traveling across Iowa sharing his vision for a stronger, freer Iowa rooted in faith, family, and opportunity.
