I had an email sent to me at the beginning of 2022 that I missed. But I came across it today. In late 2021, Andersen Corporation announced it was paying out $31.6 million in 2021 to eligible employees as part of the company’s profit-sharing program.

And it announced in 2022 the profit-sharing program would increase to $4,000 per eligible employee. The company said it will require employees to be fully vaccinated in order to qualify.

The company’s release said it expects strong customer demand to continue into 2022 and with the “ongoing threat” of COVID, changes to its 2022 profit-sharing aim to further the company’s commitments to “protecting the health of its employees and customers.”

Jay Lund, the Andersen Corporation Chairman and CEO, proclaimed the company made the decision not to institute a vaccine mandate, but chose to incentivize current and future employees through a vaccination requirement as part of the 2022 profit-sharing program.

The payments will be received in quarterly installments of $1,000 and employees will be required to be fully vaccinated against COVID prior to each quarterly payment.

Beginning Dec. 4, 2021, Andersen requires all new hires to be fully vaccinated prior to their first day of work.
