The Nation’s Elie Mystal blasted Georgia Republican Herschel Walker and, in doing so, fanned some racial flames with the GOP during an appearance on MSNBC.

Walker is challenging Sen. Raphael Warnock in Georgia. The race could go a long way in determining control of the United States Senate.

“Now, you ask, why are Republicans backing this man who is so clearly unintelligent, who so clearly doesn’t have independent thoughts, but that’s actually the reason,” Mystal said. “Walker’s going to do what he’s told. And that’s what Republicans like. That’s what Republicans want from their negroes — to do what they’re told.”

Mystal went on to say he isn’t concerned with Republicans because GOP voters have “already proven that they are willing to vote for white supremacy.”

“They’re willing to vote for stupidity. They’re willing to vote for insurrection. So I’m not concerned with what the GOP is going to do.”
