Twitter announced on Sunday it has permanently suspended Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene for violating the company’s COVID-19 misinformation policies.
Greene’s account was suspended on Saturday after she tweeted about “extremely high amounts of COVID vaccine deaths,” which the company said is false. She included a chart based on data from VAERS.
Twitter said it was MTG’s “fifth strike,” meaning her account would not be restored. Greene received a fourth strike in August after she posted that vaccines were “failing.” Her third strike was related to a post in which she said COVID-19 was not dangerous and that vaccines shouldn’t be mandated.
