On Friday, as Chairwoman of the Subcommittee on Delivering On Government Efficiency (D.O.G.E.), Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene introduced legislation, co-led by Congressman Chip Roy (TX-21), to abolish the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). This move is part of her ongoing commitment to eliminate wasteful government spending and ensure taxpayer dollars are used responsibly.

“I just introduced a bill to abolish USAID, the Democrats’ taxpayer-funded slush fund used to push their radical agenda at home and abroad,” stated Greene.

“As Chairwoman of the DOGE Subcommittee, I’ve launched the War on Waste—and USAID is a major culprit lighting over $40 BILLION on fire each year.

It’s time to do what DOGE does best: cut the waste.

Thank you to my 14 original co-sponsors for joining me in the fight to end waste, fraud, and abuse in the federal government.”

The bill’s original 14 cosponsors include: Rep. Chip Roy (Co-lead, TX-21), Rep. Eli Crane (AZ-2), Rep. Andy Ogles (TN-5), Rep. Ralph Norman (SC-5), Rep. Brandon Gill (TX-26), Rep. Diana Harshbarger (TN-1), Rep. Josh Brecheen (OK-2), Rep. Eric Burlison (MO-7), Rep. Scott Perry (PA-10), Rep. Thomas Massie (KY-4), Rep. Lauren Boebert (CO-3), Rep. William Timmons (SC-4), Rep. Harriet Hageman (WY-At Large), and Rep. Garret Graves (LA-6).
