Combat veteran Joni Ernst (R-Red Oak), who was born, raised and still lives in a rural community today, talks about the challenges and the greatness of Iowa in a new 60-second ad entitled “No Place.”

As Joni says, “Iowa is the greatest place in America to call home.”

TRANSCRIPT

There’s no place in the world like Iowa.

This is a place where hard work, decency and resilience is not just how we are but who we are.

The last few years have brought great changes and challenges.

I swore a new oath to protect this great country. I packed my daughter off to West Point. And I came forward as a survivor of sexual assault. So no woman ever has to go through what I did.

I’ve added a few years and some gray hair. But through it all, I’ve been inspired by you.

When the floodwaters rise, so too does Iowa.

When the storms hit home, Iowa fights back together.

Our challenges may change, but one thing never will.

Iowa is the greatest place in America to call home.
