A new Harris survey shows President Donald Trump with a commanding 23-point lead over Florida Governor Ron DeSantis in a recent poll who voters support as the Republican nominee for U.S. president in 2024.

The question asked: “If the Republican presidential primary for the 2024 election was held today, who would you vote for?” 48 percent of respondents answered Trump. 25 percent answered DeSantis. No other potential contenders, including former Vice President Mike Pence, former U.S. ambassador to the U.N. Nikki Haley, Sen. Ted Cruz, former U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, or Sen. Tim Scott, received over 6 percent of the vote.
